The trail head is located between Hwy 10 and Hwy 72 at the intersection of FS 505/506. Tuesday night group ride meets at 6pm, all skill levels welcome. Please stay OFF the trails if they are WET. If your tires are leaving tracks or there is standing water on the trail you are not supposed to be there. There are plenty of gravel road routes that you can use to get a ride in if you discover that the trail is too wet to ride. As you can see below the USFS has already closed FATS until March. Let's do our part to avoid a Closure On Demand! 6/13/07 The Greenwood MTB participated in a very productive work party. Many rough sections of the trail system are much improve. The trail system is simply the best it has ever been. Thanks to Tom Austin for putting it all together!
The old trail from "E" to"D" to "C" has been cleared and graveled in many of the troubled areas. High points include Log and Creek crossings as well as some interesting scenery. The trail is in surprisingly good shape. it needs wheels on it to smooth it over but for the most part it is a great ride. If you have never been on it take a trail map with you so you don't make any wrong turns. Click on the "about our trail" link below to get a map. Fire Good! Many parts of our trail have been undergoing, "Prescribed Burns" for forest fire prevention. It is pretty amazing how intact the trail is after the fire subsides. It definitely makes for an interesting ride, especially at night. Click here to find out what has been scorched New Web Page coming soon! "Greatest Gapes" email us your story!
