RIDER PROFILE
Nickname: "Milo"
Bike: ROCK HOUND Single Speed, Model LETT (Less Expensive Than Tom's) Ellsworth Sub 22 Mazda Edition
Accomplishments: Known briefly as the,"Heart and Soul" of the Greenwood MTB. Never laid up and took the road, even on the Double Dead Dog Loop in 98 degree summer heat. Rode on his girlfriends birthday/anniversary, rode on his wedding day, rode on Mothers Day, rode on Valentines Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. His bachelor party was a 32 person 3 day ride at Tsali. He's had 3 (and still counting) "Farewell to Milo" rides. All of thse accomplishments took place in 2006! Milo was the 1st Greenwoodian to ride and conquer the singlespeed. Won the two man Bakers Dozen with Tom Austin on single speeds against a complete field of geared bikers. Saved Ashby's life by killing a rabid dog with his mind control powers on the Dead Dog Loop. There are many more accomplishments, like how he got the cool Mountain Bike Patrol gear but I'm running out of web page...Milo's done it all!
Ambitions: To Master this new thing called the,"Snow Board" all the kids out west are doing it, it's way cool! To come back to GWD mid summer and kick my old buddy's around the trail like Sean Ronan kicks beer cans into a campfire.
Strengths: Shine Spittin', Long Rides, "Encouragement"...especially for younger riders in the group like Co-op and Du-op, coming back from injuries quickly, ride attendance (up until 2007 anyway), Trail maintenance, Bill Victor Impersonation, Hall Pass Aquisition, Can put away the PBR, Monty Python Movie Quotes
Weaknesses: Just like every PBR drinkin' native of Alabama his Monty Python doesn't sound very "British", in fact it is a unique accent unto itself (similar to authentic mountain jibberish) Pre and post ride "monkey shine" (and sometimes during rides, remember the wipe out at HKSP)
Favorite Trails: Probably some trail in Colorado we don't know about yet, but when he was here in Greenwood, it was 505/506...the XC Bandit never forgot his first girl
Best Quotes: Milo does not have a best quote, only quotes about him that are the best, my favorite came from Ernest McCallum's wife, posing this question to her husband as he gives her the last minute notice that he is riding: "How many more of these F$%#&^% Farewell to Milo rides are there going to be? I thought he moved to Colorado!"
Hobbies: Work, Snowboarding, Snow Shoveling
Favorite Song: Sympathy For The Owl...I was there dude!!!!
Favorite Beer: Sierra Nevada
