After the long intro, the seven modes of C major are demonstrated. Each scale is one octave. I refer these patterns as, "Simple Scales" because they are easy to play and memorize. Each scale is fingered similarly enough that you can play exercises, phrases and melodies from one to the next seamlessly.

If you are an Intermediate player or better it should only take about 15 to 20 minutes to memorize the scale patterns. The Simple Scale positions always fall in this order on the guitar when it is in standard tuning (in all 12 keys)

Make sure you use the fingering that I use in the demonstration because it is essential for the good stuff that follows in the next online video lesson!
