Satellite View Of Trail

The Long Cane Horse Trail is an intermediate 25+ mile trail network in Sumter National Forest between Abbeville and Greenwood, SC. The trail has plenty of technical sections including log crossings, climbing, rooty terrain and fast descents. The LCHT is multi use so be on the look out for Equestrians, Hikers and Hunters as they frequent the trail as well. There is an abundance of scenery and wildlife along most of the LCHT and it is all single track. Most users access the trail at 505/506 "E", Fell Hunt Camp "A" or The Big Rock "G". There is a group ride that's departs from 505/506 every Tuesday night at 6pm. Bring lights! There is usually a smaller group riding every Sunday around 2pm. A second group leaves from the Big Rock every Tuesday and Thursday around 6pm as well.
